Rumor Is . . .

TJ's Double Play is history.  Conjecture?  Some.  Hearsay?  Definitely.  Either way we'll miss you.  Godspeed.

You are so out of the loop (ironically you claim the all-encompassing moniker of "UVA Law Blog).

From the horse's mouth:

You might have noticed I'm no longer updating my blog and it has, in fact, ceased to exist. All those Feb Club photos are gone into the ether. Phew!

I started the blog for two main reasons: I thought I was going to go back into the media shortly after law school; I wanted to see if I was any good at it. On the first point, I'm not going back into the media anytime soon. I am going to be a lawyer, or so my student loans tell me.

On the second point, I think I did a pretty good job, depending on how you define "good". When I was cruising along last semester, I was getting close to 15,000 page views per month. When Above the Law -- which I no longer read and ostensibly covers the ENTIRE legal profession -- would link to me my traffic wouldn't even double. Not bad for a little blog about a single law school. I was even in talks to become part of a blog coop, where I could have made serious blog money ($50/ month). I decided not to sell out.

There are a few other reasons, namely it was sometimes stressful, began to resemble a job and honestly, what else is there I can say about Feb Club and Foxfield?

So I'm calling it a wrap. I'm working on some other projects (potentially blog-related) and expect to be busy this semester with my clinic and other stuff. Maybe there's a naive and industrious 1L out there who can step up and become the new guy (or girl, the legal blogosphere needs more women. For reals). I'd like that. Honestly.

So to everyone who read, commented, tipped, wrote posts, and/or secretly hated me, thanks.

We've had fun.

Ironic, indeed. We guess we are out of the loop in that we're not privy to a . . . facebook note that confirms what we just said?
