Just In Case You Were Thinking About Not Paying Those Graduations Dues . . .

An announcement placed in our mailboxes the other day indicates that you will not be able to get your cap, tassel, and gown (the latter of which you have to return), unless you pay your $ 55 large. Just look at as the cost of bread for one of your family members at dinner that night.

I heard that last year the graduation committee did not require 3Ls to pay dues to receive their cap and gown but that this year they decided to do so to help defray the cost of repairing one grad committee member's BMW 7 Series which is currently sitting underneath Mt. Chipotle with a puppy (link below) and possibly also a small child trapped inside.

I heard the money goes to NGSL to repave their parking spots.

Way to hold people's ability to graduate hostage in order to extort more money to throw lame parties with. Hooray 3L golf tournament!

this place is a festering shithole ttt in decline.

if you don't pay dues that means you can't graduate or simply cannot attend the graduation ceremony? if the latter, who gives a F... mail me that piece of paper and let me get the hell outta here.

We're slightly poorer.

Perhaps a fair compromise would be for the grad committee to offer two packages:

1. A no frills, cap, gown but no party plan.

2. The full party package. All those golf tournaments and other parties + cap and gown.

Seems more fair to me. Prevents those of us with no desire to attend these events from having to pay for others' social calendar.

3 feet of snow

Perhaps the same magical process that removed the snow from the NGSL (and SBA) parking spots could be employed on the field to allow such maintenance to occur?

Down with NGSL tyrants. How long must we bear the oppressive weight of their cleats on ARE throats?
